Some African American gentlemen were sitting in the same waiting area as the kids and I were in earlier this afternoon. They were flipping through a magazine and commenting on women.
One of them mentioned Sarah Palin. “Now, she’d have made a good vice president,” one of them said. Another said, “Yeah, but we’d have had to vote for McCain to get her.”
Now, largely they were talking about her *looks*, and I didn’t get any impression of what they thought of her ideas.
However, it shows the superficial standards that people use in voting, and it also says something about Sarah’s chances in 2012.
