One of our Patrons is on his way to Beatification!

Servant of God Louis/Ludivico Martin, father of St. Therese of Lisieux (the Little Flower) and with his wife, Maria Zelia Guerin Martin, have had a miracle approved by the Vatican, paving the way for their beatification.

The Reform of the Reform is at Hand!

If Sr. Joan Chittister and Fr. Hans Kung were dead, they’d be turning in their graves.

I, for one, am practically crying tears of joy.

One year ago, we got Summorum Pontificum, a document which, as soon as Cardinal Josef Ratzinger became Pope Benedict XVI, was inevitable.

But, today, news has leaked out on the Internet that Benedict has also officially called for that which has been a theme of his pontificate: the Reform of the Reform, an overhaul of Roman Missal to more properly reflect the intentions of the fathers of the Second Vatican Council (as opposed to the current Mess, which reflects the so-called “Spirit of Vatican II”).

Among key points under consideration:

  1. Mandatory ad orientam posture, so the priest will rejoin his position among the people, facing the Tabernacle, and returning the focus of Mass to Jesus.
  2. Mandatory reception of Communion on the tongue, while kneeling! (Boy–all those parishes that have only recently removed their altar rails because of the USCCB’s mandate will be ticked).
  3. Moving the Sign of Peace to before the Offertory, as it is done in every other Catholic Rite (e.g., Maronite) that even has this ritual.
  4. Mandatory Latin for the Eucharistic Prayers, as well as for other sacramental formulae, such as Confirmation, Ordination and Baptism, so that, as Mary put it, “They can’t mess it up.”
Praised be God!

Thank you, Lord, for Pope Benedict XVI!

YouTube pulls another pro-life video

Due to Planned Parenthood’s pressure, YouTube has pulled yet another pro-life video.

Can’t wait till Phil Vischer’s JellyTelly is fully operational.

"How do you see yourself?"

The other day, I was laying in bed, and Mary was sitting next to me and said something about “my poor dying husband.” Then she got reflective, and asked, “How do you see yourself? I mean, I know we’re all dying from the moment we’re born and all that? . . .”
I said, “I’m dying. . . . One way or the other, this is going to kill me. It might be today, it might be ten years from now, but this is the one that’s gonna kill me.”

Gag me with a spoon: What "Mixed Messages"

“I don’t like being Catholic, so anything authentically Catholic turns me off.” That about sums it up when it comes to liberals like this guy.

That said, it is a turn off when liberals send young Catholics mixed messages about their faith.

A mainstream news story that actually admits the problem in the priesthood is homosexuality?

1. So, some undercover film person tricked a gay priest at the Vatican into make advances on tape , and the Vatican has suspended the priest.
2. The Vatican has said in numerous documents since at least the 1960s that homosexual men should not be ordained to the priesthood (and the document a couple years ago included anyone who supports the gay rights movement, period).
3. Somehow, Newsweek construes this story as bad news for the Vatican.
4. Meanwhile, the priest tries to claim it’s a ploy by Satanists who are trying to seduce priests into homosexual acts to discredit them. I’m sorry, Father, but I think *you’re* the one in the Satanic conspiracy to discredit the priesthood. After all, how could anyone be homosexually seduced without being homosexually inclined?
